September, The Hummel loco
Friday the 19th of September, it was time to test-start the chevrolet motor on the kosta loco, Hummel.
We did attach a new cooler. Tubing was connected and fastened with hose clamps. Water filled up. A small leak was found between the thermostat and the lid, but easy fixed. The tank was mounted and a copper tube to the carburator. Petrol was filled up. Ignition coil connected. The choke was pulled....
The starter did do it's turns, but no sound from the engine. Several attempts, but nothign.. Probably no sparks, due to bad connection or something.. We come back on this.
